Ever wonder why I love dark art?

Ever wonder why I love dark art?

I'm certainly not the only one who does. The dark colors convey mystery and haunting meanings. Personally, I find interest in what is concealed within the image. Dark art depicts danger, power, morbid attraction and secrecy. This type of art usually represents fears and death, symbolizing the human condition. It speaks to our very existence.

This image was inspired by the reversal of Roe v. Wade. It expresses my personal dread that women will become, once again, suppressed in our society, being robbed of all that we have worked so hard to achieve over decades. No longer CEOs, astronauts, construction workers, or anything that they want to be. In the 1960s, women could not get a credit card, go to Harvard or serve on a jury. But they could work in a factory and make babies.
